Parenting is one of the most rewarding but also challenging jobs out there. No parenting style handbook tells you what to do when your child throws a tantrum in the middle of the grocery store or when they won’t go to bed at night. As your child grows older, different challenges will arise. So, when does parenting get easier?
As the children reach the age of 5-6, they become more independent and can start to do things independently. This includes brushing teeth, getting dressed, and making their bed. By the time they reach pre-teen years, they should handle most basic tasks with little help from you.
Of course, there will always be some challenges that come with parenting, no matter how old your child is. But, overall, it does get easier as they grow older. Just be sure to enjoy every stage along the way!

Of course, every stage has its issues, so you can’t really say that some stages are trouble-free. As they grow, it will be easier, because they become more intelligent and can communicate better, but at the same time they will get themselves into more complicated trouble.
If in the first years your problems include learning them to walk or potty training, later on, you can be facing school problems, cursing or even minor felonies. So, to sum it up, parenting definitely DOES get easier, but there is no one definitive answer as to when.
